Burgundy red wool flannel cloak with silk print lining and ties, bearing label of Sabbathday Lake, ME
Description
"Dorothy"-style Shaker cloak in maroon wool flannel. Serrated hem on interior sides and interior bottom 1/2" wide. Strip of maroon velvet 1 1/2" long, interior just under hood. Four black metal hook-and-eye closure points, beginning at top of velvet strip and continuing downwards for 9 3/4". Hood is lined with green/red/silver silk with paisley print. Two silk ties of same material 36 1/2" x 2 5/8" w. Shoulder cape attached at the neck just under hood that is lined with same silk fabric of the ties and hood. (same material as rest of cloak) 12" long. Silk ties and hood lining are extremely fragile with many fractures. Ties rolled.
