Description

Three maple legs support a block of oak in which two turned support spindles (one beech and one maple) are through tenoned. These spindles are fitted with two oak plates which house a cog wheel turning on a maple axle. Holes in these spindles near the top house, house a beech worm gear with a cylindrical shaft that extends through one spindle and upon which is mounted a wheel hub of maple. This hub holds six maple spokes capped by maple cylinders paralleling the axis to have been painted or washed yellow.
