Description
A pair of stereographic photographs mounted on a buff-colored card picturing the Church Family, Canterbury, NH, viewed from the southwest, probably taken from the upper floor or roof of the Trustees' Office. The view was photographed and published by W. G. C. Kimball of Concord, NH, as part of a 58-view series titled, " Photographic Views, Shaker Village, Canterbury, N. H.," in which it is identified as number 49 -- one of 11 views identified as "Birds Eye Views." The listing of views appears on a separate piece of yellow paper pasted to the back of the stereographic card.
