A pair of nearly identical photographs mounted on a buff-colored card picturing an assemblage of twelve teams of oxen belonging to the Canterbury Shakers. The photographs taken in the core of the Church Family includes, right to left, the North Shop (1841), the Syrup Shop (1797), the Laundry (1816), and behind the Laundry with the high chimney, the Dry House (1897). The view was photographed and published by W. G. C. Kimball of Concord, NH, as part of a 22-view series titled, "Shaker Village, Canterbury, N. H.," in which it is identified as number 12. A listing of views is printed directly on the back of the card.
